Excellent hotel next to the MIXC Shopping Center and the Shenzhen Stock Exchange and the Metro entry across the street. Minutes to anywhere in Shenzhen. This is a Conifer hotel and you can expect 4-5 stars. The Conifer Hotel chain is know in China as a 5 star rated hotel but not known in the West. This hotel had great service, Clean rooms. The interior designer executed a great feel in the rooms and the common areas. The only downside is the food is limited at the cafe and there is a trash smell in the service elevator lobby. They got a great coffee machine. Better than Starbucks. Price is a great value. I can say this cause I prefer to stay here compared to other value hotels. You get more than your moneys worth. Well at least for now. My US dollar is melting! And I've never seen bugs in the restaurant as another reviewer stated.

n the Bao'an District, we've stayed at the Heng Feng. Good quality, pushing four stars, very convenient and lots of restaurants nearby. Decent International foods along with the noodles houses' and a great upper scalish chinese place kitty corner to it.

In the mall next door - there's a Carrefour a great place for stocking up on various toileteries and snacks and other things - if you feel like topping on Americana, there is a Pizza Hut which has salad !!! and the pizza is fine. There is also a wine shop which is very welcomed and offers a surprisingly good selection of French, Italian and some Chilian wines ( the real stuff , not fakes!). The pizza and wine combo with in room HBO is a form of Shenzhen cocooning.
